32 Days and counting...

Class of 2014, I've always known this day was coming but never thought it would be so soon. Just 32 days from know I'll be walking on stage receiving my diploma. Then it's off to college. This is still so crazy. I'm happy to get to start something new somewhere new, although i'm not leaving to an out of state school like I had planned i'm still looking forward to the whole college experience from studying to 'partying' I just want to have fun and meet good people. Maybe the 60k debt I'll be in after will be worth it?

2014... year of new beginnings.

2014 has arrived.. You know when you have a gut feeling that something is going to be good? That's how I feel about this year. I hope I'm right. Graduation is just around the corner even though it seems like it will take FOREVER. Prom and Grad Nite. I'm most excited about Disneyland. I love it. after all it is the happiest place on earth. With a new year there will be new changes both mentally and physically. I can't wait to see what I can accomplish this year.. Good luck with all your resolutions.

Senior year

Is finally here!

3 months...

In 3 months I start college applications which is so crazy. It's the moment that seemed the farthest in my life. I know after applications you still have a couple months of school left but that's it. The moment you've been preparing yourself for is Finally there! I'm really excited to graduate high school, but I'm scared and disappointed scared that I won't get into UC Berkeley many people with outstanding grades don't so why would I get in? And scared that I won't like what I'm studying what if it turns out that business isn't something I want to pursue, There go thousands of dollars down the drain. I'm disappointed in myself I know that sounds weird considering that I'm a good student, I participate in school events and I'm senior president but I feel like I could have done so much better. My grades aren't perfect and if I don't get into UC Berkeley I know I'll hate myself. It's tough growing up and it only get's harder from here. I may not be able to go out of state for college because of money but I can go to college. I'm getting a higher education and that's more than some people can say. I hope this all is truly worth it. My dedication and time put into school. I hope life is great and that years ahead I'm a successful business women.

Re-decorating

I have been re-decorating my room for about 2 years now and the only thing I have gotten done is the paint, and that didn't even come out the way I wanted it to. Oh well I'll work with what I have.

My room is a medium toned grey. Not too dark or too light. I'm thinking about a grey, mint and white theme. My room is grey so I don't want to add much more. I want to focus on adding white and mint.

       Essentials

• Desk: As an incoming senior and hopefully soon to be business\ criminal administration student. I plan to be doing a lot of work and doing on my bed or the floor just doesn't cut it anymore. So I will definitely need a desk. It's a must.
• Closet space: I know this seems so obvious but some people don't have a closet in their room. Just thought I would throw this one in there.
• Storage space: LOTS OF IT! I have way too much stuff for the size of my room. Therefore I need to use all my space wisely. I don't want too much clutter(Furniture) in my room which is one of the reasons I'm starting this project.

     Furniture: I want to keep the list as minimal as I can. This are a few pieces I have had in mind for a while. Feel free to tell me what you think and leave any suggestions.

• Bed: I was thinking about a headboard similar to this. This particular one is from target. Runs about $500. Kind of pricey but these headboards usually are.

• Closet: I picked this specific because the closet system is not in a closet space. I was thinking of doing something similar to this along one of my walls. Since I am planning to the desk are inside my closet space. This is the PAX closet system by IKEA.

• Desk: I have wanted to do something with the Alex drawers by Ikea for the longest time, but I've always second guessed because of how tall the drawer system is and how awkward that might be next to my desk. But a few months ago I saw Nicole Guerriero's makeup collection and fell in love with the setup. The two drawer sets are from Ikea and so is the tabletop. The vanity mirror I will not be using since the desk is for studying purposes. Here it is.

• Side table: I want one just to have a lamp and make it easier to access my phone. That way I don't have to keep my phone across the room or on my bed. I'm open to suggestions. But I was thinking something like this keeping it real simple and not too bulky.

• Accent Furniture: I saw a pretty cute piece of furniture at Target online. I was thinking of placing this under my television which will be hung.The link is for the white cabinet since I couldn't find a picture that showed it's true beauty. This piece doubles as storage which I love, maybe keep some books in there and add a nice vase with flower on top.

New layout + Design... loving it

Finally loving my layout on this. Can't wait until I charge my camera so I can start uploading some stuff. :D
